Touch

The sense of touch is distributed throughout our body. Nerve endings in the skin as well as muscles and ligaments in the body transmit sensations to the brain. This sense allows us to detect and evaluate a wide range of characteristics which are associated with the structure or inner make-up of foods and other materials.
